Dr. N Buster on Jason Young
The celebrated Dr. N Buster returns from a long sabbatical (in which she completed a correspondence course on canine psychology and determined that it was not a viable practice, cyber or otherwise) to comment on the peculiar behavior of suspected spousal murderer, Jason Young.
Dr. N Buster noted the many remarkable similarities between the Michelle Young murder case and the Laci Peterson case, more of which could surface as the investigation continues. Are these similarities the result of the alleged perpetrators reading from the same Narcissist’s Handbook? If so, what does this tell us about Mr. Young and the outcome of this case?
Does Jason Young expect to get away with murder?
If Young suffers from this malignant personality disorder, yes – he does expect to get away with it. We can take heart, however, that he has undoubtedly self-sabotaged and unknowingly left enough evidence of guilt. Despite careful planning, perpetrators with this type of personality have major blind spots in their thinking and fail to comprehend the consequences of their behavior. Whether this stems from a lifetime of evading blame, disarming and successful manipulations, or enabling by parents and other authority figures, it is inevitable that they will be caught.
Why did Young take possession of his child if his motive for murdering his pregnant wife was to be free of responsibility?
If Young is a narcissist, his toddler child is mainly a prop. He may love her in his own inadequate fashion, consider her an extension of himself, and hope that he can deprogram any possible memory she has of the murder so that she becomes useless to the investigation. He also may hope that her attachment to him will lend sympathy and reluctance by Michelle’s family to remove her from his care. Who would want to further traumatize this toddler after such a horrific and confusing experience of being alone with her mother’s bloody dead body for half a day? Right now, Cassidy is Jason’s ace in the hole until he’s arrested.
What damages Young’s case for innocence the most?
While we are somewhat dismayed at the recent revelation that Young may be an adulterer, we are not surprised; nor does it, in isolation, point to guilt. The more telling behaviors that indicate Young is probably guilty and a narcissist include his lack of cooperation with the police, a pattern of deception of which we are only seeing traces (and expect much more); his aloof (if not rude) treatment of Michelle’s family, his retention of a criminal defense attorney before the funeral; his suspected arrangement of a third-party discovery of his wife’s body by her sister (which was especially sadistic), and his facile abandonment of the family home. Taken as separate events, they are fodder for the proponents of the laughably anemic “there’s no playbook for grief” defense. However, taken in context as a whole, they are quite damning.
A stand-up guy does not hide behind a toddler. He does not lawyer up when he’s innocent. He cooperates with the investigation. He returns to his home and grieves with his wife’s family. He dumps his girlfriend. He admits to what he has done and ensures that he clears himself of suspicion as soon as possible, whatever it takes. He submits to a polygraph, Chinese water torture, or intense interrogation because he knows he will not be charged.
Like Scott Peterson (and Jason Young?), a guilty, cowardly narcissist runs and hides!
Comments
I suspect Dr N Buster is right about Cassidy. In the back of his mind, he may be counting on either his parents or Michelle's parents to take custody, freeing him of the obligation of being a single parent.
Now, more than ever, I belive the car accident back in May, when Michelle lost the child she was carrying, was intentional. That she got pregnant again almost immediately sealed her fate, IMO.
I hope I am wrong, but that's my gut feeling about it.

Kudos! The Dr. is in, hehehe. I'm in agreement on all points. Perps never seem to think of the vast array of technology and technique employed by today's LE. They always see themselves as being "smarter or more thorough" than those whose job it is to apprehend them. Sooooo narcissistic.

According to other cyber gossip, Meredith Fisher, Michelle's sister, was arrested for embezzlement today. She works as a waitress. I have seen nothing show up on any news sites about it yet.
Also, according to the leaker, Michelle's autopsy reveals hammer-like blows to the head, up to 10, and defensive wounds.
What a mess.
Posted by: loretta | December 8, 2006 02:45 PM
If a hammer-like weapon was used, it rules out any of the female suspects on the short list of armchair sleuthers. I have no doubt who did this, but for those still trying to pin this on a girl, it's pretty unlikely that Meredith or Michelle the Other Woman would use a hammer. Even if Michelle the victim was in bed.
No, that's very definitely a masculine weapon of choice.
Posted by: loretta | December 8, 2006 02:50 PM
It sounds like the cell phone evidence will be pretty incriminating.
Posted by: Nadine | December 8, 2006 02:56 PM
The fact that he continues to cooperate (per the search warrant) is troubling. Is it because he truly is a malignant narcissist and feels there is no way he would be cause? Or is it that he's waiting for LE to find enough evidence to arrest him, and if they don't find enough, he'll get off "scott-free?"
Posted by: Deege | December 8, 2006 03:24 PM
Ugh! Make that not cooperate
Posted by: Deege | December 8, 2006 03:25 PM
It does seem like he's opting for LE to prove he's guilty of something and hoping for the "scott free" scenario.
Posted by: Nadine | December 8, 2006 03:36 PM
"...a hammer-like weapon...rules out any of the female suspects...[because]...that's very definitely a masculine weapon of choice."
Where the heck did you get that? Google about to see just how many women use hammers to kill hubbies, lovers, children, intruders, friends, siblings, and other types of human beings.
So what, a nail file as a weapon might be a feminine choice? What about a hypodermic needle or a toaster or a vehicle. Would there be a masculine/feminine distinction between a convertible coupe and a pickup with a Hemi? What if the pickup was pink?
That is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard...
Posted by: syndic | December 8, 2006 04:39 PM
There are statistical differences between men and women in terms of how they choose to kill themselves or someone else. I think it's very unlikely that a woman would plan to kill someone using a hammer as the murder weapon.
Posted by: Barbara | December 8, 2006 04:48 PM
I didn't find any results of a hammer being used as a murder weapon by a woman, but please cite them if you find them.
I'm not saying women never use hammers, but they rarely do.
Feel free to prove me wrong. And if you find any, the ratio of men using a hammer to women using a hammer is probably 10:1 or more.
Posted by: loretta | December 8, 2006 04:48 PM
I'm on page 4 of the results of googling "hammer as murder weapon" and all the results so far?
Men.
Posted by: loretta | December 8, 2006 04:53 PM
First of all, most women are shorter than men, not all, but most. Using a hammer is not a good idea. You'd want to be able to hit your target.
If you're going to use something around the house, a golf club, baseball bat, frying pan or other longer object with more swing would work to hit a taller person.
A gun would be even better. Knives are pretty risky, but they are used.
Unless the woman is hitting something smaller than she, using a hammer would be a bad idea.
If Michelle was murdered in her sleep, how do you account for the defense wounds? If that autopsy result that RPD reported over on CTV is correct?
No. No way it was done by a woman. Certainly not Meredith or The Other Michelle.
Posted by: loretta | December 8, 2006 04:56 PM
Definitely not Meredith. I can't speak for the other woman but she would have to have the three criteria met: means, motive, opportunity.
Posted by: Barbara | December 8, 2006 05:00 PM
And as far as my remarking that a hammer is a masculine weapon of choice being:
QUOTE:
That is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard...
I don't believe that it was one of the "most ridiculous things" you have ever heard.
Now, if you want to talk about things that WOULD qualify as ridiculous, here is a short list:
Bush: the war in Iraq is going well.
Rumsfeld is doing a SPLENDID job.
Heckuva job, Brownie!
Karl Rove: My math shows the Republicans holding both chambers of Congress.
There are WMDs in Iraq.
There are nuclear bombs ready to be deployed by Iran.
9/11 was planned by 19 scruffy Arab kids.
Shall I go on?
In the Ridiculous Hall of Fame, my comment about hammers will not even make the first cut.

Ah, it's syndic again. The ultimate authority on everything relevant.
Posted by: Nadine | December 8, 2006 05:04 PM
Then it is an over-generalization to conclude that you can rule out any of the female suspects on the shortlist. Likelihood, or lack thereof, is not an absolute.
Who is to say that any of the females on that list is not capable of picking up a hammer -- a very common household tool used by both sexes -- and bashing in someone's head with it in the heat of rage?
FYI:

What other types of weapons do you think are unlikely for a woman to use to murder someone? What are men unlikely to use? Do the lists differ for people with mixed gender classifications?
Posted by: syndic | December 8, 2006 05:11 PM
Ok, your first link: a woman kills a child. (I already said that it had to be someone smaller than them.)
Your second link involved a Satantic ritual by a couple, notably a male and female. Not a woman by herself, if she even did ANY of the hammering.
Your third link also a team effort involving a man.
Your fourth link: no info on the victim. Was it another woman or a man? It's a blurb.
I, on the other hand, found 40 cases of men beating their victims with a hammer.
I rest my case.
Posted by: loretta | December 8, 2006 05:22 PM
Likelihood, or lack thereof, is not an absolute.
Of course not. There are no absolutes. However, acutaries, statisticians, scientists, detectives, cops, doctors and a host of other professionals use probability and the law of averages to make predictions and earn a living.
I think the probability of a woman doing this is next to zero.

I think it only reasonable that if the posters here must be proved to be posting valid arguments (thus your review of my text before posting it), the you should expect to be held to the same standards. I recommend not making assertions in absolutes unless you really do not want discussion. Oh...I get it now! That's the point.
Note to self: Whew! I sure am glad I passed the "review" by the owner (Though Police) before my post could be displayed for everyone else to review. My spelling and grammar must be up to par today.

Loretta,
My sole purpose in posting was to point out a potential weakness -- a generalization -- and now you've stooped to name-calling and threats. I don't need this childish nonsense.
I wish you the best of luck on solving your case.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Posted by: CountryGal | December 8, 2006 06:24 PM
I don't see any name calling, syndic. Your post read like you are a pit bull with AIDS.
Plenty of people like to play devils advocate to get the course of conversation flowing or thought processes moving and shaking. C'Joe is a pro at this. I love to think *outside* the box.
If the other Michelle is cooperating with LE, I'm not thinking she knew anything about the planned murder of her sorority sister. And, I'm not willing to believe Meredith had ANYTHING to do with her sisters demise.
My initial thoughts were that JY pulled his car into the garage and used a tool from in there to murder Michelle. I still have not ruled out a goon *hit* over gambling debt scenario.
Posted by: Monica | December 8, 2006 06:25 PM
While I am NOT agreeing with Syndic. I do maintain that given the correct hammer...many different styles ARE available on the market these days. The "deed" could have been done by a female.
The 30 oz. ergonomically correct Estwing or some other similar configuration could have, even in "slight hands" done the trick. Didn't happen. The hammer wasn't on the premises and the culprit couldn't have risked carrying it around.
I also "poo-poo'ed" the idea that the 6' Werner® ladder seen outside the Young's garage either belonged to the Youngs' OR was used for access into the residence. (Werner® ladders are "color coded" for weight restrictions), ...no way would a "Harry-Homeowner" buy that model.
Didn't happen Either!
IMHO
Posted by: Lesa | December 8, 2006 06:40 PM
I didn't read that as her calling you "bitch". I read it that she meant that you would be calling her that when she banned and/or deleted your comments. (It has happened before.) Not that it really matters but I don't think she resorted to name calling.
Posted by: Barbara | December 8, 2006 06:40 PM
Did anyone watch Crier tonight? They kept showing funeral footage of a short dark haired woman walking next to JY and another man. RPD said that the other Michelle was short with dark hair. I was wondering if that could be her. She was a tiny little thing and not all that attractive in my opinion. But, JY looks like Jaws from the James Bond movies to me.
I thought MY was beautiful.
Posted by: Monica | December 8, 2006 06:44 PM
I'm not sure syndic even fully read any of my comments. Either her reading comprehension is lacking or she didn't really read them.
I think my communication skills are rather good. TYVM
Posted by: loretta | December 8, 2006 06:47 PM
I know my punctuation skills are good. If I was calling her a bitch, I would have used a comma and no quotation marks. hello.
Posted by: loretta | December 8, 2006 06:49 PM
I don't see a hammer as being a female weapon unless it's a weapon of opportunity (first thing that's lying nearby) or if it's used on someone smaller than the perp, a la Lisa Holland killing her son with a tack hammer.
Otherwise, it would be too easy to grab away and I would think it would take several well-aimed blows to be effective.
Just hitting someone in the leg or arm or torso with a hammer is going to hurt, yes, but not necessarily incapacitate them. During a struggle, I would think the head is not an easy target.
Posted by: Lisa | December 8, 2006 06:54 PM
The head wouldn't be an easy target unless the victim was sleeping. Even then, I'm wondering if MY was asleep and was hit once or twice and then tried to get up and defend herself.
Meredith said that there was blood all over the bed and we know from the SWs that Michelle was found dead on the floor of her bedroom. If RPD is right and she did have defense wounds then we know she wasn't killed with the initial blows.
And, if there was a struggle it might very well have been LOUD verbally. Maybe this is why little Cassidy said, "Daddy did it!" to Meredith.
Posted by: Monica | December 8, 2006 06:59 PM
A hammer is effective if you already tower over your victim. Like Jason did Michelle. He's quite a bit taller.
Posted by: loretta | December 8, 2006 07:10 PM
For all we know, Michael Peterson used a hammer and not the blowpoke as originally theorized.
It would have made similar lacerations.
Posted by: loretta | December 8, 2006 07:12 PM
How likely is it that the first hammer blow, even it to the head of someone asleep, is going to render them helpless/unconscious, etc, I wonder?
I've only skimmed the warrants, too ADHD today but it sure left me with the impression that there was a horrific amount of blood all over. Not the proverbial "soft kill."
Posted by: Lisa | December 8, 2006 07:14 PM
I don't think it was the blow poke but I think it was a similar tool that was a narrow tube with some sort of hook on it, like a regular fireplace poker.
Posted by: Barbara | December 8, 2006 07:15 PM
Remember during the M. Peterson trial how they reenacted the crime based on the shoe prints, blood spatter and position of the body and demonstrated how the blows were dealt and that Mike actually stopped and restarted.
We can hope the forensics and experts in Raleigh can do something similar.
To me, the search warrants are an outline of the case not just for an arrest, but how they want to try it in court.
Posted by: loretta | December 8, 2006 07:26 PM
Sadly we know that Ricky Holland lived for days after his mother bashed him in the head with a hammer, Lisa.
If the rumor is true and Michelle was bashed 10 times, sounds like quite a bit of struggling took place before she died.
Just because it was a rage kill doesn't necessarily mean that it wasn't a hit. The killer could have become angry because she didn't go down easy.
My only pause about it being a *hit* is because of what I could clearly hear Cassidy saying (twice) on the 911 tape.
"Daddy did it" would lead me to believe that Cassidy woke up during the struggle and heard her mom and dad's voices.
Posted by: Monica | December 8, 2006 07:28 PM
Or, another man's voice. I don't know if a 2-yr old can distinguish between similar male voices.
Unless she saw it, she might have thought it was her dad.
But, I think it WAS her dad.
Posted by: loretta | December 8, 2006 07:30 PM
Good point about Peterson East, Loretta. I just watched a show on that a few nights ago. Really amazing reconstruction and it all made perfect sense.
What must Mike Peterson have thought, seeing that re-enacted exactly how he did it? "Holy cow, that is exactly what I did, how did they know that?"
Posted by: Lisa | December 8, 2006 07:31 PM
Exactly about the rage kill if it was a hit, Monica! Remember the Sheila Belush case in FLA? Same sort of thing.
Posted by: Lisa | December 8, 2006 07:35 PM
Well, Carol Neulander was struck 7 times with a lead pipe by two goons. Doesn't sound like she died right away either. She also suffered from defense wounds. I guess her autopsy photos were quite gruesome as I imagine Michelle's will be if/when this case goes to trial.
http://www.courttv.com/trials/neulander/102902_ctv.html
Retired Camden, N.J., medical examiner Robert Segal testified that the victim had seven lacerations on the top of her head, multiple skull fractures and defensive wounds. The ring finger on her right hand was torn and crushed, he said.
The cause of death was ruled to be blunt force trauma, which caused Carol Neulander to choke on her own vomit, Segal testified.
Despite the amount of blood that had to be cleaned from the Neulanders' living room, Fred Neulander insisted on observing the Jewish practice of shiva in the home within days of the killing, according to testimony.
Posted by: Monica | December 8, 2006 07:50 PM
Rabbi Fred is one cold SOB. That was another horrific spousal murder theatre.
What is wrong with these guys? Well, that's rhetorical but it's still incredible to me that none of these guys think they will get caught, that they are so slick and smart.
Don't they ever watch Cold Case Files? Or Forensic Files? Even once?

Yeah, Jason's quite the guy. IF he is guilty he had his wife's sister find her body and left his baby girl there with her murdered mother for hours. If I were his friends I think I might be adding 2 + 2 about now and cut my losses instead of spreading vile rumors about Meredith.
Posted by: CountryGal | December 9, 2006 12:15 AM
What in the world do they have to gain by vilifying Meredith? I think the emotion she showed on the 911 tape was absolutely genuine, and I expect others will think the same.

"Finally, she closes the door without taking my business card. When she gets in her car and leaves, we notice the blinds in the home moving as if someone is watching us in the street. Maybe it's Jason Young?"
"Where is Jason Young? Who knows for sure, but Michelle Young's car is parked in Joe and Heather's garage."

1. They don't know where he is according to the sheriff. (I know)
2. This is the second time we have heard he was going to his parents house that night, not to VA for a business meeting.
"Despite the focus on her husband in the search warrants, Harrison stopped short of naming Jason Young as a suspect and said he did not know his current whereabouts. The warrants say investigators have tried to interview Young, but he has not made himself available. "We just haven't been able to talk to him for a while," Harrison said."
"They hope to use the phone records in part to determine the time that Jason Young was en route to his parent's home in Brevard the night his wife died, Wake County Sheriff Donnie Harrison said."

Welcome back, Camille.
Obviously, the rumor about Meredith Fisher's arrest was bogus or intentionally misleading. I can't see her being an embezzler as a waitress, anyway. She doesn't have access to that kind of money as a waitress. As a cashier, well, sure.
I don't know why "RPD" would risk losing his/her credibility over that information, but who knows? Maybe the person who fed RPD that info did it to deliberately discredit that person.
Meanwhile, we have motive, means and opportunity. What are the Raleigh police waiting for? Test results?
I'm pretty sure they know where Jason is, even if the press don't for sure. I doubt Jason will really slip off to Mexico with Cassidy, but he could try something. Don't put it past a desperate N to do something really stupid.

From the search warrants we know they took these things.
Jason and Michelle Young's home:
1. Paper writings of identification trace evidence, blood, instruments or items used to cause the death of the victim, fingerprints, palm prints, photographs and body of victim
2. Compaq Presario 6000 hard drive, removed from the home office
3. Two cell phones, both found inside Jason Young's Ford Explorer
4. Voicemail and other service provider information from both cell phones, including missed calls, received calls, text messages and digital photos
5. Answering machine, CDs, camcorders, storage media from inside the home, cell phone in purse, in kitchen
6. Nikon Coolpix 4 megapixel camera and SanDisk 256 megabyte SD memory card, found in the upstairs den/office
7. US Airways baggage claim ticket for Jason Young
8. United Airlines ticket for Jason Young
9. US Airways MasterCard statement for Jason Young
10. Confirmation for Hampton Inn reservation from early September 5th to September 8th, 2006
11. Receipt for the Adam's Mark in Denver, CO
12. Wake Co. Public Library key tag
13. United Airlines receipt for Jason Young for trip to Denver on October 9, 2006
14. Storage box containing miscellaneous papers
15. Three (3) wedding photos
16. Three (3) manila file folders containing a will, insurance papers and other items
17. Small bag containing Fuji brand cassette tape
Michelle Money's Florida home:
1. Dell Inspiron computer, Seagate external hard drive, one Coherent flash card
Did I miss anything?
Looks like LE has a theroy at least.

Yeah, I think that the Meredith embezzlement report was a Jasonite plant to throw off suspicion. Embezzlement is a federal crime, and it is not likely she as a waitress had access to big bucks to embezzle, although one restaurant of the small chain of restauants for which she worked closed for some reason. Most likely she would be charged with theft for small sums and be charged by local LE if true, and Jason may well be aware of Meredith's small time thefts. I think the embezzlement rumor more than likely was a Jasonite over-reaction to the girlfriend information.
Posted by: Anonymous | December 10, 2006 04:11 PM
"Small bag containing Fuji brand cassette tape"
sounds interesting. Wonder if Michelle was taping Jason's calls.
Posted by: Captain Joe | December 10, 2006 04:16 PM
I wonder if MM started that rumor.
Could be Joe.

"Small bag containing Fuji brand cassette tape"
sounds interesting. Wonder if Michelle was taping Jason's calls.
Now that would really be great if that's the case, and they're at all incriminating.
Posted by: Nadine | December 10, 2006 04:33 PM
Yep. The fact that it was a small bag (blue & white, sorry I forgot that part) with just a Fuji tape in it, and no cassette recorder was listed.
I wonder where they found that?
Posted by: Doe Eyes | December 10, 2006 04:41 PM
It's always interesting to speculate but it doesn't mean much in the greater scheme of things. Remember the video tape in the Peterson-west case? I think the camera was put in that can to make it seem that there had been a robbery. But the tape itself had nothing on it.
I also think about the sorts of things they would take from my house if a murder had occured here. There's quite a bit of media laying around here with lots of junk on it but none of it is meaningful.
Posted by: Barbara | December 10, 2006 04:42 PM
I do agree that the only reason for taking those items is to build a case against Jason. There is no reason to take tapes and disks if it was a break-in turned murder.
Posted by: Barbara | December 10, 2006 04:55 PM
Ditto on that, Barbara. The crime lab would be backed up for months trying to figure out what all the tapes, files, and electronic gizmos around here were for if there was ever a need to investigate.
Posted by: Nadine | December 10, 2006 04:55 PM
Barbara, I don't think anyone is even considering a "break-in" turned murder.
Both Michelle and Jason worked out of the home, with pretty regular routines by what info we do have (precious little).
Too many easier opportunities to rob that house in a quiet neighborhood, than take the chance of running into an athletic, pregnant mother with a small child, ready to fight to the death. MOO!
Posted by: lesa | December 10, 2006 05:13 PM
His family and friends may still be considering a home invasion. I don't think that LE or anyone outside of the family circle are considering that as a possibility.
Posted by: Barbara | December 10, 2006 05:14 PM
I wonder if JY had more than one GF, you know like an old sailor with a chick in every port.
Posted by: Captain Joe | December 10, 2006 05:52 PM
That wouldn't surprise me either, Joe.
Just like any other N's behavior, I'm sure he thought he'd get away with cheating on his wife too. I've forgotten which # that is in the playbook but I'm sure it's there.
Posted by: Doe | December 10, 2006 06:14 PM
Captain, I was wondering the same.
Posted by: vero | December 10, 2006 06:14 PM
Jinx, Doe.
I'll bet there are several women thinking, "Oh, (deleted), I hope they don't find out about me!"
Posted by: vero | December 10, 2006 06:16 PM
Hey, Vero!
Those phone records and emails will be very telling.
Posted by: Doe Eyes | December 10, 2006 06:22 PM
I hope we get to hear about them.
Posted by: vero | December 10, 2006 06:28 PM
Vero,
I haven't caught up yet, but I'd briefly read about the Baby Shower. I wish I could send you all the baby stuff (new, almost new) I have. Unfortunately, it isn't feasible.
I am putting the good clothes and other little things together and will send them some time soon (just remember that I don't have new born stuff - this being the reason for not sending them right now and for waiting a little bit more to have more to send in the same package).
Posted by: Anne | December 10, 2006 07:04 PM
Anne, that is so nice of you! Thank you so much!
Posted by: vero | December 10, 2006 07:24 PM
Hi, Anne!
Posted by: Doe Eyes | December 10, 2006 07:35 PM
Vero, the three wheeled jogging stroller my MIL found at a consignment shop was the most useful. Not that I jogged with it, but it could be enclosed against the elements, it was lightweight yet had rugged wheels and folded up to fit into the back of the car.
Posted by: Lisa | December 10, 2006 08:23 PM
Hi, Doe!
Vero, I concur with almost everything that Loretta advised about the gear stuff. But I am not anti-baby-equipment. I am a pro-baby-equipment.
I concur with Loretta's primary rules - Rule #1: Separate car seat and stroller. Rule #2: stroller you can snap open/close with one hand. Rule #3: get as much used things as you can. Rule #4: Baby carriers are good gears (they are good for many purposes: carrying your baby while having your hands free, having your baby close to you just because you want to smell him, calming your baby, etc.)
Stroller: I own the Peg Perego as well (Pliko P3) and it is great (a little expensive - $ 300). Picture: http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0009OLUEC.16._SCTHUMBZZZ_V55041894_.jpg
Baby Carrier: I use the Baby Bjorn (this one I could send to you, if you want it. Just let me know.).
Car seats: I used the Graco Infant Seat (used one - from a cousin) and I have this Evenflo, which I pretty much like it. Picture: http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000F6WMSW.16._SCLZZZZZZZ_SS260_V55472767_.jpg
Pacifiers - GOOD gears! NUK is a good brand.
I did not own a Swing, but I did own a Bouncer and it was a LIFE SAVER. You probably saw some pictures of it at Baby A's Blog. Baby A LOVED the music, the images motion (it was an aquarium) and the movement/vibration. It is still brand new, from Fisher Price.
I would love to give it to Vanessa. If, by any chance, someone close to me decides to travel to US in the next couple of weeks/months, I will send it, for sure. But I don't recall of anybody close enough right now. Mail/freight wouldn't payoff. Let's see.
Posted by: Anne | December 10, 2006 08:26 PM
Anne, that would be lovely!

MM's rating on ratemyprofessor.com

Posted by: Captain Joe | December 10, 2006 09:29 PM
I thought she taught math in grade school , Joe.
Posted by: Anonymous | December 10, 2006 09:34 PM
Oops. That was me.
Posted by: Doe Eyes | December 10, 2006 09:57 PM
Besides, look at the date on the comments.
Are you sure that is the same MM teaching at a college?
Posted by: Doe Eyes | December 10, 2006 10:02 PM
She did in 2001, but if you read the comments of the rate my professor site you'll see that she previously taught at a grade school but now teaches at a community college. Who knows, maybe they have a lot of remedial math classes there.
Posted by: Captain Joe | December 10, 2006 10:03 PM
According to the students, she's a cute chick.
Posted by: Captain Joe | December 10, 2006 10:06 PM
The first comment was 6 days after MY's murder.
Posted by: Doe Eyes | December 10, 2006 10:10 PM
I'm back from shopping 'til I dropped, but I think I'm finished now.
Vero, HD bought Adie a pacifier that closes when dropped or, in Adie's case, is thrown. I'll ask her the brand.
She has the Peg Perego as well. Nice wheels.
Posted by: CountryGal | December 11, 2006 12:48 AM
The kid has gone and bought the darn stroller/carseat combo.
Nobody ever listens to me.
Posted by: vero | December 11, 2006 01:21 AM
Good morning!
Maybe LE only found out about cell phone number 3 when they found out about Ms Money.
She obviously would not be using a number MY knew about.
I hope they will pick him up soon. Surely, there is enough evidence without DNA.
Posted by: Mgt | December 11, 2006 06:02 AM
When my SIL was cheating she rented a PO box to send her mail to that she didn't want my brother to see. Didn't Scott Peterson do that too?
Wonder if JY got himself a secret PO box for the secret phone bill?
Posted by: Monica | December 11, 2006 07:33 AM
Good morning!
Posted by: Doe Eyes | December 11, 2006 08:24 AM
Dang! haven't they arrested JY yet? I keep hoping!
Mornin', Everyone!
Posted by: vero | December 11, 2006 08:33 AM
I'm with you, Vero. This arrest is taking far too long.
I hate to think of him being fussed over by his sister. Sleeping in a comfy bed and eating his favourite meals.
Posted by: Mgt | December 11, 2006 08:58 AM
Not to mention hugging and kissing his daughter and using Michelle's car.
Posted by: vero | December 11, 2006 09:21 AM
If he hasn't already ditched his daughter with his parents.
I wonder if the hairs on his neck stand on end when he drives Michelle's car. I hope she grabs the wheel at some stage. Show him what a real car crash should look like.
Posted by: Mgt | December 11, 2006 09:28 AM
Ciao, everybody!
Posted by: Mgt | December 11, 2006 11:59 AM
The rateyourprofessor.com site of Michelle Money is very interesting in that all the comments and "rating" of her appeared after the murder and the photo of her appeared only last night. This makes me suspicious that she or someone is trying to put her in some better light right after the murder for some reason like she or someone knew that the girl friend would be revealed. It would be interesting to know who actually made those comments and entries on this site.
Posted by: Captain Joe | December 11, 2006 01:48 PM
I wonder if the hairs on his neck stand on end when he drives Michelle's car. I hope she grabs the wheel at some stage. Show him what a real car crash should look like.
Mgt, we can only hope. Now that would be a Twilight Zone moment for sure.
The most troubling thing about some of these guys is, they don't seem to have any conscience at all. After they're caught, they're not sorry they comitted the crime, just sorry they got caught.
Posted by: Nadine | December 11, 2006 02:26 PM
Cap'N,
I had a little different take on that site.
I was thinking, what IF someone else was trying to make it look as if M. Money was trying a little too hard to make herself look better. Thereby, actually drawing attention away from themselves and onto her.

More missing travellers:
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,235817,00.html
Posted by: Lisa | December 11, 2006 03:03 PM
Lesa
I emailed the site to Sheriff Harrison and speculated that whoever made those comments had a motive for doing so and that he might be interested in who made those entries and why.
Posted by: Captain Joe | December 11, 2006 03:29 PM
Looks like someone is spamming the comments about MM on the ratemyproffessor.com site. Several comments have been added today and are "under review".
Posted by: Captain Joe | December 11, 2006 03:47 PM
One of the comments was "Homewrecker" before it was taken down. I guess it's like a Myspace site that gets several pithy comments after the site owner gets arrested for murder.
Posted by: Captain Joe | December 11, 2006 03:55 PM
Regarding the missing SC couple.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The car, the Guays' luggage and the valuable coin collection Wayne Guay owned were all gone from the house, according to Megan Guay.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wonder if they always traveled with their valuable coin collection? That seems odd to me. Why not put it in a safe deposit box or something?
Posted by: Nadine | December 11, 2006 04:00 PM
Nadine, that is just creepy. Has to be someone that knew them.
We do not let certain things "out of our sight". But a coin collection is st00pid to schlep back and forth. Those suckers would have been ALL over the highway in the event of a bad accident.
Posted by: Lesa | December 11, 2006 04:11 PM
That's a good point, Lesa.
Another possibility is that they may have met with some unscrupulous person who was interested in "buying" that collection.
It seems unlikely they got lost, since it's mentioned they lived in that area at one time.
Captain Joe, good idea to alert LE about that website in regard to the Young case.
Posted by: Nadine | December 11, 2006 04:18 PM
or - maybe the Guays are missing on purpose.
We don't know the whole story, yet. What are the odds they vanished by accident or were hijacked by someone on the road?
Not likely.
Why would they be taking a valuable possession on a road trip?
Me thinks there is more to this than meets the eye.
Posted by: loretta | December 11, 2006 04:23 PM
Do you find it odd that she isn't listed as faculty on the college's mathematics department web site?
Posted by: CountryGal | December 11, 2006 04:24 PM
I agree, Nadine. It's very strange to me that someone would travel with a valuable coin collection.
Posted by: Deege | December 11, 2006 04:29 PM
MM is listed only as a part time instructor in pre-algebra. Sounds like remedial class for the dumb ones.
Looks like JY's trip to Denver was a seminar in health information management certification.
Posted by: Captain Joe | December 11, 2006 04:32 PM
An insider at another site is saying that JY had multiple affairs, that MM was just the latest.
Posted by: Captain Joe | December 11, 2006 04:37 PM
So where was the Labor Day week trip?
Posted by: CountryGal | December 11, 2006 04:41 PM
From Lisa's article:
said Daniel Rodriguez, their son-in-law.
They were expected to make a 4 a.m. start that morning and drive straight north to their former neighborhood.
The family rented a helicopter to do its own 50-mile sweep around Myrtle Beach, said Rodriguez, called 100 area hospitals and scores of police departments up and down Interstate 95, according to The New York Post.
On the surface it sounds like a better SIL than my husband. Wonder IF he is too good to be true.
Please don't flame me. I live in N.C. and I am married. I may not live long enough to respond.
(Wives in N.C. are now rapidly approaching the endangered species list.)
Posted by: Lesa | December 11, 2006 05:09 PM
I just found the whole thing about the NC couple strange: the coin collection, the SIL, the fact that it was a familiar trip.
Something hinky there.
Posted by: Lisa | December 11, 2006 05:58 PM
The first thing that ran through my head when I heard about the Guays was the couple who were killed for their boat and other assets. The Hawks, I believe?
Posted by: Lisa | December 11, 2006 06:19 PM
Testing.

Good evening.
Lesa, what's up with NC! We're you going to have to find you guys a new home. LOL!
I don't know what to think about the missing couple. Something just isn't right.
Posted by: Doe Eyes | December 11, 2006 07:08 PM
I guess they could have put the valuable coin collection in a SDB before they left. The only people who say it's missing is them.
Posted by: Anonymous | December 11, 2006 07:17 PM
I agree, CG.
The whole MM site is just weird. As I said last night, the date of the first comment was 6 days after MY's murder.
They anony above was me. Sorry.

Hey, Joe.
Any new scoop on the MY case? I've been out all day and I'm trying to catch up.
Posted by: Doe Eyes | December 11, 2006 07:26 PM
No real news, just speculation from insiders. People are just trying to analyze actions and reactions. I'm guessing that we won't even get the autopsy till Christmas.
Posted by: Captain Joe | December 11, 2006 08:13 PM
Thanks, Captain Joe!
I wonder why the autopsy is taking so long?
Posted by: Doe Eyes | December 11, 2006 08:19 PM
The bodies of that missing couple have been found in a swamp in North Carolina. I wonder if it was a robbery?

That was such a sad outcome for the missing couple. I was hoping they had gone on an adventure and didn't want their family to know where they were. Sigh!
Being fiftysomething is a good age to go on the run. Ask me - I'm ready.
I can only think they were badly injured before the car went in the creek. Seems preposterous!

There appears to be a Serial Killer murdering prostitutes in Ipswich, England.
Two bodies and another two or three girls are missing, all from the same area.
Sorry for the O/T, but over the last few days it has dominated our healines. A local businessman has put up a £50,000 reward for his capture.

There is just so much I can get done at the weekend, what with Basketball, gym, groceries and a teensy bit of relaxation. Sundays, I am just bushed and rarely get out of the house before 2 o'clock.

He's not going to get the Democratic endorsement, but he will make statements and present a platform that will be integrated into the party line.
Besides, he always writes me back when I send him letters. I appreciate that. Even though he didn't agree with my impeachment ideas.
