March Came In Like A Lion

Yes, this is Cleveland in March; typically horrific in terms of unwelcome snow, freezing wind, cold temperatures and bad driving conditions. However, there is something to be said for a crisp, blue sky and a frozen lake with silent white drifts that were once crashing waves.

Dr. N. Buster is going to weigh in on the Grant case as soon as she has time. Stay tuned.

Gorgeous pictures, Loretta. It sure looks cold, though!

Those pictures give me the shivery shivers! Brrr...

Beautiful, nevertheless!

For the anonymous on the last thread, Tara was in Puerto Rico, not Public Relations. Sorry for the confusion.

Three cheers for the jury on the Couey case. I have trouble believing it took them four hours! I think they may have decided to wait a bit so that nobody could accuse them of rushing, or deciding without thought, or whatever some sleazeball lawyer is going to try for an appeal.

I'm with Moi--just looking at him gives me the heebie-jeebies! Remember the video footage from Savannah, with the big toothy grin and black fingernails, that was taken within days of his crime?

I never could shake the thought of that grin, and wondering just what the black stuff was under his nails.

Sorry, but I think now is the time to say just what a piece of filthy slime that demon is.

Don't ANYBODY start preaching about his rights! His actions removed him from the human race. He has no rights. He should be slowly tortured on a daily basis until he dies. Slowly. Like, a month or so.

I hope that jailhouse tattoo shop opens up wherever they send him. I want to see the word "Jessica" all over his sick face.

There was a time when I just wanted him to be dead, but his ugly mug has wormed its way into my nightmares, and I think it might take more than his death to expunge that.

May he rot in hell for eternity.

I completely agree, Vero. It was creepy watching him on CTV today. I wish they'd put him in general population until they finally put him to death.

Posted by: Deege | March 7, 2007 08:46 PM

Ahhh, those pictures! Beautiful! Daffodils are trying to bloom here in the mid-west, so there is hope for spring.

Vero, I agree completely. I followed this case here from the beginning. I don't have words to express my utter disgust for this pos. Ugh.

Posted by: auntie M | March 7, 2007 08:53 PM

I couldn't watch any of that trial.

Posted by: vero | March 7, 2007 08:54 PM

If I ever saw his eye rest on a child, I'd have to shoot him.

I think his relatives who sheltered him and knew she was there should be hauled out for Mark Lunsford to shoot.

Beautiful frozen photos! It was near 70 here today but we always have frost on the roof at night.

So looking forward to seeing Dr. N Buster again!

Good on you Vero.

Having gone derileck-oid after the last month. I say to Lesa, if you have a router, turn it over and take a ball-point pen and give it that punch in the restart/reset button on the back. If you are not awn the router, then god bless you. xxoo, moi

Lesa, you were right about not having heard all of the story regarding the au pair...

Beautiful pictures, in NC we have only seen snow once and that was Feb 1, it was here and gone in a matter of hours. Another mild winter here, but who knows what will happen now as March has just begun. Loretta, whats your take on Howard K Stern? I was looking at your pages and didn't see any posts on the saga.

Good morning, all! Welcome to de-lurkers.

Lisa H - I have no "take" on that story or any of the characters in it, since I am woefully underinformed. I have no interest in that story.

While I have not been commenting much about pollyticks on the blog, I have been paying attention to some stories. I read "Crooks and Liars" daily and watch a few videos to keep up.

The Grant case buried us for a couple of weeks, and I still think Jason Young stinks to high heaven.

Meanwhile, I have a real writing gig in the real world where I have to submit something, along with other real world stuff that I have to speed neglect.

Dr. N Buster will be opining on the Grant case - not to tell the world what a big Narcissist Stephen Grant is, but more to demonstrate how his behavior prior to the murder tipped his hand.

I would hope that by looking at some of the behavior this guy had, his personality type, so to speak, that someone, somewhere might spot it and run for the hills.

I would hope that one day I could prevent one of these murders. Who knows? Maybe I already have.

Anyway, that's my current focus. Anna Nicole Smith isn't even a blip on my radar.

Good Morning!

Just looking at those pictures is enough to make me get out my winter woollies again!

This is Texas--I put them away already!

More lovely stuff about the au pair!

At least the article linked above gives us some info I've been wondering about, like, how she got the job and how much she gets/got paid.

I feel badly that she got caught up in this mess. It just goes to show how much damage the N can do.

I can hardly wait to read Dr N Buster's take on the situation!

Uh oh!

"Sheriff Mark Hackel expressed concern about the appointment, not because Rabaut is not on the A list, but because of his marriage to Jail Administrator Michelle Sanborn. Hackel's office is investigating the Grant case, and Hackel oversees the jail and is Sanborn's boss. As the highest-ranking civilian employee in Hackel's office, Sanborn frequently communicates with high-ranking captains and senior staff about the Grant case, Hackel said."

Why would the judge bypass the usual channels to get Grant a lawyer related to a Jail Admin?

I suspect (hope) that will not be allowed to stand.

I haven't read the link, but wouldn't that be an issue with any inmate in the jail?

Good afternoon, glorious MisFits! Have missed you all so much these past weeks. FL, I will gladly trade you all my rain and 60deg days for your "lake-effect" drifts.
Hope all of you are well and cheery. Hehehe, this is the first time I am not EVEN going to attempt to play catch-up. Would be too much like reading the annotated works of __________(fill in the blank, hehehe.

If someone happens to notice my right parenthesis floating by, lob it back this way, mmmkay?

It's great to see you, Village Wench!

Posted by: Doe Eyes | March 8, 2007 04:21 PM

Wenchie! It's so good to see you.

How ya been?

Wench, we've been worried about you!

That new attorney appointment seems fishy to me.

Verena may know more than she has told. Perhaps her victimization was greater than we thought.

Or maybe she is a very sinister figure under her blonde good looks.

Oh, it's a textbook case.

New entry. ^^^^
