Cameron Brown Trial Update

Well, well, well. For those of you still following at home:

Geragos dropped the Brown trial: LINK TO ARTICLE.

Thanks to Pat for the tip. This is very interesting. Geragos seems to bail on his lost-cause clients; unless, of course, there is media exposure to exploit. If more press had been covering the Brown case, I suspect our pal would have been more eager to continue to represent him personally. Unfortunately, so much time has passed since the arrest, and the trial got little exposure outside the local news and a radio talk show, poor Mark Geragos lost interest.

This, despite his promise not to abandon his client. Why am I not surprised?

Morning!

Looking forward to your point of view, Loretta.

I don't understand why he is entitled to dip into the taxpayers money! Why?

Ciao, everybody!

Posted by: Mgt | May 29, 2007 11:40 AM

Morning, Loretta.

Glasgow is not yet showing signs of summer. We are experiencing temperatures of low to mid 60's. Not warm enough for me.

Will the State pay for Cameron Brown's defense while Patty still owns a house? Or, does that depend on whether Cameron's name is on the deed?

If I was her, I would cut my loses. But then, she could be desperate enough to bankrupt herself.

Just curious.

Posted by: Mgt | May 30, 2007 04:36 AM

I figured Geragos would bail.

Morning!

Posted by: Mgt | May 31, 2007 08:44 AM

Margaret, I don't know if a family is required to pay for a defense until they are indigent. I suspect that is very possible.

Posted by: vero | May 31, 2007 11:32 AM

Until tomorrow, ciao!

Posted by: Mgt | May 31, 2007 12:15 PM

Popping in to say hello. Haven't been able to comment lately, but wanted ya'll to know I still think of you and miss the comraderie and human intellect found in this living room. Many, many hours were spent here; housework be damned! LOL.

Loretta, I hope you and your beautiful children are happy and well. Bet the wee boy is not so wee anymore. He was such a darling. Take care my friends.

Nice to see you, Bluerose!

Good morning, all.

I've been following the Cameron Brown case for awhile. I believe he is responsible for Lauren's tragic death.

I see the article in the Daily Breeze has been removed. Does anyone have the link to it? I love bantering with Ted Kaldis... lol

Posted by: SouthBay Girl | June 4, 2007 09:18 AM

I guess you have to search their archives. Of course, you can usually find him on Usenet, and I believe he has a blog.

Posted by: vero | June 5, 2007 08:13 AM

Does anyone know when the second trial will begin, I guess we won't know until his new lawyer gets on board?

Posted by: South Bay Girl | June 5, 2007 10:17 AM

I'd love to see "Boston Legal" take on the Cameron Brown case for an episode next season.

At the very least, Denny Crane would shoot out his kneecaps.

Hey, it could happen!

L,

If you decide to follow and/or post about the Kelsey Smith murder, here is a link to the courts where you can monitor the changes:

Morning all!

The weather in Glasgow is so dry and hot. I'm not used to it and don't think I like it much.

Not being an outdoor-sy girl anymore is spoiling the summer for me.

I think I'm going to take a few pointers from Loretta. She's a good girl...gets off her butt and does stuff.

~~Respect~~

Oh, and, hi to all the usual suspects!

Posted by: Mgt | June 12, 2007 04:06 AM

Ciao, everyone. I'm off to have an ECHO. Lord alone knows what that is.

Enjoy you day...!

Posted by: Mgt | June 12, 2007 08:54 AM

Morning!

Posted by: Mgt | June 13, 2007 10:10 AM

Sigh! Does nobody stop by anymore?

No developments on any of the murders?

Posted by: Mgt | June 14, 2007 03:37 AM

Hey everybody! I'm not buying the Christopher Vaughn story about the wife & kids/SUV murder.

Posted by: CountryGal | June 15, 2007 03:36 PM

I don't buy the Vaughn story. They let him go to follow his every move, so they can get him later.

Here's a fun test at BBC.com re the difference between male and female brains:

Posted by: Astrologer | June 17, 2007 03:15 AM

Thanks for the quiz Astro! It took me a little time to find a centimeter measurer but otherwise it was simple. I was about halfway between the average female score and the average male score.

Posted by: Barbara | June 17, 2007 07:11 PM

I took some of the other quizzes, too.

For that Male/Female brain one, I was pretty Female throughout, although I scored really high on two parts. One of them was where they moved the objects after you looked at the picture for a minute. I got 14 out of 17.

There's a reason this blog's first name is "Observations..." heh.

I changed the template and it's all wrong. I'll have to do something else. I'm such a slacker. I haven't even finished two entries I started - on on the Russian Poison Spy scandal (very interesting) and one on GerEgo dumping Cam Brown.

Real life interruptus, much? I'm having too much fun out in the world to be blogging much. I have to have new stuff to blog about one of these days, so what better way to collect fodder than to go back out in the real world?

Posted by: loretta | June 17, 2007 07:59 PM

Look to your local Akron case with the missing woman. I think this one is going to be solved quickly but I think it has some interesting fodder.

Posted by: Barbara | June 17, 2007 08:21 PM

Right smack dab in the middle on the male/female quiz!

Posted by: vero | June 17, 2007 09:30 PM

I had mixed results, too. I may take the test over again b/c I was inconsistent in choosing faces. Sometimes I rated the faces individually and sometimes only once per choice. I must have been distracted by something shiny and didn't read the instuctions in that step properly. I hate timed tests.

The index/ring finger test was very interesting. I also aced the missing items visual test.

Posted by: Astrologer | June 17, 2007 10:07 PM

The missing items test reminded me of something out of Highlights Magazine, a mag I read whilst waiting for my orthodonsist.

Posted by: Astrologer | June 17, 2007 10:12 PM

Morning! I hate steenkin tests. Not going to bother.

Nice to see a bit of activity, though....

Posted by: Mgt | June 18, 2007 03:48 AM

That Vaughn fella is a guilty of this crime.
She would have shot him rather than her children, I reckon.

Posted by: Mgt | June 18, 2007 11:07 AM

Astrologer, I hope you're right about Vaughn being released so he'll be followed. Something really stinks about his story.

Mgt, it's hot and dusty here too. ICK! Stay cool.

Posted by: Nadine | June 18, 2007 11:52 AM

Apologies to South Bay Girl. That was your post above about the Vaughn case.
