Merry Christmas!
Coming up soon - "Where Are They Now?" - five years later.
Comments
Rielle Hunter is allegedly pregnant with the baby of Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards. According to the National Enquirer, Hunter is six months pregnant.
Hunter denies that Edwards is the father, and Edwards denies the affair.
Edwards has been married to wife, Elizabeth, for 30 years. His wife has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Conspiracy theorists believe that the scandal was published because Roger Altman, a key owner of the National Enquirer, is a large backer to the Hillary Clinton campaign.
Altman was an official for the Bill Clinton administration, and his name is often mentioned as a possible Clinton Treasury Secretary.

Merry Christmas, all.
Life is good.

When you have no one else to blame. Blame it all on the Clintons!
Posted by: Anonymous | December 25, 2007 07:19 PM
La vie est belle. Life is good and I blame all of it on hormones and if Hilliarity is ellectoided, it will be the fault of whoever votes in that direction. I have never done a religious sort of testimony, in this case I will make an exception and make a political testimony:
them that elecksemm deserves what they gittz. What a sad state of affairs. Whatcha gunna dew? I ax to all ya'll. I am an Obama-gal. The cynics say pas de poop. I am still for that breath of fresh air. If all the bubba's and born-agains come forth to vote, moi, she is rilly afraid.
Lucy need hormone treatments and prolly schroeder is gay and that is fine with moi. She was barking up the wrong tree. She was always angry at the world. hormones
I have to tell a tale. With special wishes to Vero. Retta my longtime friend had a very inconventional family. Father: Head of the drama dept at Baylor until the babtix shut down longdaze journey into night which he had special permission of the wife of Eugene O'Neill to do it. My mother resigned from editing the alumnus magazine and took moi to Italy the following summer for my first foray and her escape from that madness. She was, however hormonal. I really liked being whipped off to europa.
Meantime from my heart, I say that the Bakers, parents of Retta, always had the most bare-branched tree from somewhere-not-related-to-any-evergreen, and put about 1 ball on it.
I replicate this except I have no tree atall. just one ornament. simplify.

Modern "Twas the Night Before Christmas" Politically Correct
'Twas the night before Christmas and Santa's a wreck.
How to live in a world - that's politically correct?
His workers no longer would answer to Elves,
Vertically Challenged they were calling themselves.
And labor conditions at the north pole
Were alleged by the union to stifle the soul.
Four reindeer had vanished, without much propriety,
Released to the wilds by the Humane Society.
And equal employment had made it quite clear
That Santa had better not use just reindeer.
So Dancer and Donner, Comet and Cupid,
Were replaced with 4 pigs, and that looked darned stupid!
The runners had been removed from his sleigh;
The ruts were termed dangerous by the E. P. A.
And people had started to ring for the cops
When they heard loud noises upon their rooftops.
Secondhand smoke from his pipe had workers all frightened.
His fur-trimmed red suit was judged `Unenlightened'.
And to show you the strangeness of life's ebbs and flows,
Rudolf was suing over unauthorized use of his nose
And had gone on Geraldo, in front of the whole nation,
Demanding millions of bucks for `just' compensation.
So, half of the reindeer were gone; and his wife,
Who suddenly said she'd enough of this life,
Joined a self-help group, packed, and left in a whiz,
Demanding from now on her title was Ms.
And as for the gifts, why, he'd ne'er had a notion
That making a choice could cause so much commotion.
Nothing of leather, nothing of fur,
Which meant nothing for him. And nothing for her.
Nothing that might be construed to pollute.
Nothing to aim. Nothing to shoot.
Nothing that clamored or made lots of noise.
Nothing for just girls. Or just for the boys.
Nothing that claimed to be gender specific.
Nothing that's warlike or non-pacific.
No candy or sweets, they were bad for the tooth.
Nothing that seemed to embellish a truth.
And fairy tales, while not yet forbidden,
Were like Ken and Barbie, better off hidden.
For they raised the hackles of those psychological
Who claimed the only good gift was one ecological.
No baseball, no football, someone could get hurt
Besides, playing sports exposes kids to dirt.
Dolls were said to be sexist and should be passé
And Nintendo would rot your poor brain away.
So Santa just stood there, disheveled, perplexed
He just could not figure out what to do next.
He tried to be merry, tried to be gay,
But you've got to be careful with that word today.
His sack was quite empty, limp to the ground
Nothing fully acceptable was to be found.
Something special was needed, a gift that he might
Give to all without angering the left or the right.
A gift that would satisfy, with no indecision,
Each group of people, every religion;
Every ethnicity, every hue.
Everyone, everywhere-even you.
So here is that gift, it's price beyond worth.
May you and your loved ones enjoy peace on Earth.

Very clever! Bravo to the author.
There will never be peace on earth. I don't know why we even bother to say it.

The power of positive thinking can move mountains, one pebble at a time.
Posted by: Nadine | December 28, 2007 03:18 PM
I must try harder, then. I can't even move my curtains.

Malheureusment, I agree with Loretta. It is a true screwball idea that "the ewe-ess-of-aye" can democratize the middle-east {{{{{{?}}}}}} much less the world. Shoot, ire economy is shot to hail and the whole rest of the world is profiting from the delusion and confusion that have been profusional on the side of our out-going administration. It began as a sort of joke and embarrassment to anyone with a brain. This war has shot everything into high gear. We are for sure facing some challenges and some economic dearthoids. Which would rhyme with thyroids, which once again are hormonal. We distract ourselves from reality on a steady basis. This could be personally or universally. The effect or affect is the same. As I see it; we have no alternative. I recommend distraction. I do not recommend delusion and confusion and denial. Phew, on that high note, I will retreat.

I guess this site is dead, too bad.

Ahhh, yes. The news of my demise is always exaggerated.
Worry not. I'll be bach. I'm like a phoenix, you know.
Anyway, I have such a busy life these days, it's a wonder I have time to comment. Nevertheless, I'll have some news about our friends from the Peterson case as well as some pollyticks this week. Stay tuned, racing fans.

Posted by: Nadine | January 1, 2008 03:28 AM
I see you still have jealous ones still sniping. Not to worry though; you do still have a number of "lurkers" who enjoy.
Happy New Year to all ... and my strongest wishes to more great blogs this year - I've missed them but am looking forward to this year! Thank You Loretta!

Hi to Cpt Joe. Been thinking about you...
Posted by: Mgt | January 4, 2008 10:06 AM
Hi, Mgt. The Captain is still lurking, although I am working more now for several inspection agencies. Been inspecting a lot of equipment for the gubmint and the Chinese. Lotza building up for something, especially China.

HILLARY WON IN N.H.
Posted by: Anonymous | January 8, 2008 11:33 PM
Hi to everyone. Waving to the Captain and Nadine ~~~ Also Vero and Moi ~~~
Can someone please explain how this "winning and losing" thing works. I know, I'm simply dumb.
Is this like a test run to see how well they are doing?
Posted by: Mgt | January 10, 2008 10:45 AM
Something like that. It's easier for candidates to get campaign contributions if they make a good showing in the NH Primary.
Now would be the time for anyone lower than third place to throw in the towel and give their support to one of the frontrunners.
Posted by: vero | January 11, 2008 01:21 AM
Okay, gotcha! Thanks for that, Vero.
Posted by: Mgt | January 11, 2008 07:19 AM
I was lurking so I thought I would say hi. Hope all is well for everyone and that this 2008 is wonderful for all.
I love the pictures of your surroundings Loretta. What luck to find such a beautiful place to live.
Take care all.
